A Passion for Health and Wellness
To Dr. English, Antigonish has always been home. Born in Antigonish, Dr. English grew up in the small fishing community of Cape George. She went to school in Antigonish where she played many sports and always had an interest in an active lifestyle. After high school, Dr. English attended St. Francis Xavier University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. It was at St. F. X. where she developed a strong interest in health, wellness and physical therapy and she quickly realized that health care was where she wanted to be. Upon graduation at St. F. X., she was accepted at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) to begin the Doctor of Chiropractic program.
At CMCC her interest in health care turned into a passion. Throughout the four intensive years of study, she consistently developed and refined her diagnostic, manual, clinical and professional skills. As an intern, Dr. English practiced under exceptional clinicians and gained experience in treating patients with a large variety of conditions and backgrounds. She gained certification as an acupuncture provider through the McMaster Neurofunctional Acupuncture course. Graduating with honours in 2018, she set a course to return to her hometown of Antigonish to open Coastal Chiropractic - a chiropractic health and wellness clinic dedicated to individualized, accessible, evidence-based and effective care. When Dr. English isn't at the office, you can usually find her enjoying the great outdoors with her partner and their border collie, or on a bike! |
