CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Move to Improve / Morning Shake Up / Lunch Hour Blitz
These are circuit-based classes with 6 exercise stations. Each station focuses on functional fitness and with each class you will get a full body workout! All exercises are designed to be modified in various ways to accommodate all levels. Classes begin and end with a dynamic warm-up and cool-down led by Scott.
The main difference between these 3 classes are the time of day in which they are held.
Forever Active (55+):
This class is designed for the more mobile 55+ population. It will focus on using a variety of resistance modalities (ie. small weights, resistance bands) to challenge the large muscle groups in the body. The participant will learn how to efficiently and effectively work balance, the core, the back and upper and lower body muscle groups.
Get Your Move Back (55+):
This class is designed specifically for those aged 55+ who experience mobility issues due to joint pain caused by arthritis, fibromyalgia etc. The class will focus on working the range of motion (ROM) in all major joints. The class will involve seated exercises and when possible, some standing weight bearing exercises.
Yoga with Abby
This class will be a mix of Hatha yoga, gentle Vinyasa flows, mobility work and meditation. Suitable for all skill levels.
Zumba:
Welcome to our beginner level Zumba classes!
Remember to bring your indoor shoes, water and a positive attitude and get ready to dance your worries away.
*Suitable for prenatal exercise, we ask that you please bring a doctors referral/release.
