CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Fitness Classes:
Move to Improve / Morning Shake Up / Lunch Hour Blitz
These are circuit-based classes with 6 exercise stations. Each station focuses on functional fitness and with each class you will get a full body workout! All exercises are designed to be modified in various ways to accommodate all levels. Classes begin and end with a dynamic warm-up and cool-down led by Scott.
The main difference between these 3 classes are the time of day in which they are held.
Men's Strength & Conditioning:
Looking to improve your muscular strength, endurance and cardiovascular fitness? Help promote fat loss by building muscle and creating healthy exercise habits?
Classes will focus on using bodyweight exercises, portable equipment (dumbbells, kettlebells, slam balls, TRX and more) to help you achieve those goals.
Forever Active (55+):
This is for the more mobile 55+ and individuals that are looking for a low impact / low resistance exercise class.
It will focus on using a variety of resistance modalities (i.e., small weights, resistance bands & body weight) to safely exercise the upper body, lower body and core muscle groups.
Yoga with Abb:
This class will be a mix of Hatha yoga, gentle Vinyasa flows, mobility work and meditation. Suitable for all skill levels. Sunday 6-week Packages offered.
Yoga with Myst:
(Book by 6pm the day before your class to secure your spot)
- Beginner:
Tailored for individuals new to yoga and those seeking to enhance mobility, strength, and calmness of mind. It offers a gentle introduction to movement and breathing, the essential elements of a yoga practice. Over time, you will discover that yoga practice gradually enhances mental focus, promotes relaxation, and uplifts overall wellbeing.
-Lunch for the Lymph Nodes:
An immune system workout! Improve your health and remove toxins with this class designed to stimulate your lymphatic system, a vital part of the immune system. The Sun Salutation series will be used to target crucial areas where lymph nodes are concentrated. Increased blood flow and stimulation to these areas will improve overall circulation and lymphatic function which aids in removing unwanted materials from the body and fights infection and diseases. Enhanced circulation allows for better distribution of immune cells, nutrients, and oxygen throughout the body.
-Lower Back - a 10 part series:
In this series you will improve gradually as we move progressively through gentle movements that will cultivate strength, alignment, stretching, and stability. You will be guided through simple movements with easy-to-follow instructions. Every practice includes breathing, awareness, and relaxation. These practices are designed to fit into your busy life and can easily be practiced at home for lasting results. By embracing this holistic method consistently, individuals can experience strengthened core muscles, a release of tension in the lower back area, improved alignment, and overall well being.
-Gentle Movement and Breathing:
Energize your life force, also known as 'prana' or 'chi' through the practice of yoga. Yoga is about honoring your body and tuning into its needs in the present moment. Engaging in a regular yoga practice offers the opportunity to cultivate a balanced lifestyle, fostering increased peace of mind and overall well being.
-Meditation and Movement:
Gentle movements and breathing techniques will guide both body and mind to a tranquil state, fostering inner serenity and calm. Research suggests that this deep relaxation can optimize the immune system, promoting overall health and wellness. If you have ever been curious about exploring meditation or yoga, this class provides the perfect entry point.
Zumba: Resuming in April 2024!
Welcome to our beginner level Zumba classes!
Remember to bring your indoor shoes, water and a positive attitude and get ready to dance your worries away.
*Suitable for prenatal exercise, we ask that you please bring a doctors referral/release.
