Myst Anderson - Certified Yoga Instructor
Curious Awareness of Breathe and Body
Self Health Care through Mind-Body Connection
Myste’s yoga journey began at a young age, inspired by watching her mother practice headstands, a popular trend in the 70s. Over time, her passion for yoga deepened, leading her to complete over 500 hours of classical yoga teacher training. She now possesses a profound understanding that yoga encompasses much more than the physical postures most people are familiar with. Classical yoga, as taught in India, is a holistic lifestyle practice that fosters both a calm, steady mind and physical vitality. Myste’s formal training started in 2008 with a transformative trip to India, studying under GopalaKrishnan through Kerry Lawson at Tusket House NS. Following this she shared her knowledge by teaching elementary school students and working within a low level correctional facility in Nunavut. Currently Myste is completing foundational training to become a Yoga Therapist and is also enrolled in Trauma Sensitive Yoga at the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Research Institute. Myste is dedicated to guiding others on their yoga journey, helping them to discover the profound benefits of a balanced mind and body through this ancient self health care practice. |
